Regional Government supports two cultural associations with 50,000 euros

The Regional Government Council has approved the allocation of financial support to two reference cultural institutions in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, aiming to ensure their normal operation during the year 2026. The program contracts cover ordinary expenses, including personnel, facilities, and equipment.

• Associação Musical e Cultural Xarabanda: Financial support of up to €20,000.00, under Regional Government Council Resolution no. 141/2026. The association, declared of public utility, is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of traditional Madeiran music.
• Associação Teatro Experimental do Funchal: Financial support of up to €30,000.00, under Regional Government Council Resolution no. 142/2026. This theater company, also of public utility, plays a fundamental role in cultural decentralization and the development of new audiences in the Region.

Both contracts are effective from January 1 to December 31, 2026, with their signing mandated to the Regional Secretary of Tourism, Environment and Culture.
